Home Made Slime By: Meghan Vance

Every kid (and most moms too) loves to play with slime.  This is Meghan's favorite recipe.  She has called herself the Queen of Slime!  (We're so proud...)

You will need:
  • Elmer's glue or any white craft glue
  • 2 disposable cups
  • Food coloring ~ any color you want.  (Meghan recommends green)
  • Water
  • Borax Powder (can be found at your grocery store near the laundry detergent and it really doesn't cost much)
  • A plastic spoon
  • A tablespoon

Directions:
  1. Fill one small cup with water and add a spoonful of the Borax powder and stir it up. Then set it aside.
  2. Fill the other small cup with 1 inch of glue.
  3. Add three tablespoons of water to the glue and stir.
  4. Add food coloring until you get your desired color.
  5. Add one tablespoons of the Borax solution and stir well. (You will actually see the slime take shape.)
  6. Let the slime sit for about 30 seconds; pull it off the spoon and have fun!
Tip: Keep slime in a plastic bag or small zip lock bowl with lid when you are not playing with it so that it wont dry out.  Also ~ be careful not to get it near the carpet or your sisters' hair.  (Yes, we learned this the hard way.=)

This is very easy to make.  We usually make 2 "globs" of slime for each kid and 1 for me.  They get to play with one and give one away.  My kids LOVE to give gifts and I like to stay in touch with my inner child.   Works for everyone!
