Jeremy went to a men's meeting in Flagstaff this weekend, so the kids and I had to come up with something fun to do on our own. Naturally, fun and food go together so, we decided to have a slumber party in the living room and eat lots of food. We ate Turkey Tetrizini and asparagus for dinner and for dessert we made Hawaiian Milk Shakes. I love to "taste the season" and these milk shakes definitely taste of spring!
Hawaiian Milk Shakes
(yields 4 small milk shakes)
3 slices peeled papaya
4 slices peeled fresh pineapple (with the cores)
4 large strawberries
2 bananas
4 scoops of french vanilla ice cream
Throw all in a blender or food processor and mix until well blended. Yummy! It's great on a hot night and a great way to get your kids to eat fruit. The only thing better than eating a Hawaiian Milk Shake is eating it while you watch Marry Poppins!!
