One fun tradition we do each year is buy our children an ornament. It may have something to do with something they've accomplished that year, or just something cute that they can hang on the tree and collect. Some years we make ornaments to give away and everyone gets to choose one to keep. Regardless, every child gets a new ornament to help them remember each Christmas.

Think of the memories the kids will remember as the pull each ornament out on their first Christmases when they're married or on their own! Not only will they have ornaments already for their first tree, but they will be able to remember how or why they got {or made} each and every ornament. The only ornament they won't be able to keep are the "Baby's 1st Christmas" ornaments. Those are MINE!
This is one tradition my kids love and look forward to each year! It's a small way to make {and remember} big memories!
