No Clutter = No Stress {And A Free Gift For Everyone!}

My New Year's Gift to you: This is a .png file of my personal house keeping schedule.  This is what works for me.  If you like it and think it might work for you, you can print if off and keep it as my New Year's gift to you.  You can keep it on your fridge or you can pin it to the inside of your cabinet door if you prefer less "clutter".  ;)

The key to keeping a clean house is to keep it organized.  This is my house keeping schedule.  We must be flexible.  If you can't get something done on the scheduled day, you simply move it to another day for that week.  Or, you can decide to do it on a different day every week - whatever works best for you and your family.

Since organization is the key, I've scheduled 3 different times in each week to work on closets, inside cabinets, bookshelves, or whatever I can think of that needs organized.  Once your home is organized, you will have a place for everything.  When you don't have clutter to worry about you can clean your house much more quickly and efficiently.

No Clutter = No Stress!!

Remember the less you have to deal with...the less you have to deal with.  If you don't want it, can't use it, or haven't used it in 6 months, you should probably just throw it out.

If I don't have time to do something this week, it can usually wait for next with the exception of a few necessities.  Don't stress out.  The more stressed out I get; the less I seem to get done.  There are always weeks when I'm a little too busy to do one thing or another.  In such cases I just start over the next week.  It may take a few more moments of clean up, but I can usually catch up in a day or 2.

And don't forget, you can race the clock!  It's one of the most successful strategies I've ever used in keeping my house clean!  I'm always amazed at the amount of work we can get done in just 15 minutes!  Get the clock and get to work!!  You'll be amazed too!

Please share this page with your friends if you like this chart!  It's simply a "general" house keeping schedule, but it will help to keep clutter down and your house picked up!   And it really doesn't take but an hour or 2 each day!  There's plenty of time for extra chores and relaxing!

Happy Cleaning!!

  3. That is awesome! I tend to believe we think alike. Today my blog was about organizing yourself and one of my tips is about setting a cleaning schedule!

  4. Love the encouragement to PURGE! This is my favorite thing to do. I love opening cabinets that aren't filled to the brim.

  6. Angela, thanks for sharing! This is very helpful. I remember purging almost everything this time last year, but somehow we've accumulated a lot of junk again and it is STRESSING ME OUT!

  7. You're welcome! And I know what you mean. I can't stand clutter. I went around before Christmas with a trash bag throwing things away!
