Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar (acv) has been used for centuries as a food and a medicine.  It can be used on pets too.  Acv is natural product resulting from the fermentation of apple juice and then again a second fermentation to vinegar.  ACV retains all the nutrition of the apples from which it was made plus it is fortified with the extra acids and enzymes produced during the fermentation(s).

ACV can be used to sooth sunburns, insect bites, kill poison ivy and other weeds, make your hair shine, and to treat dandruff.  It can also be used as a natural home cleanser.

This is my store bought, organic, apple cider.

Many store bought apple cider vinegars have been pasteurized, filtered, refined or distilled in order to make the product look good, and become more appealing to the consumer.  The problem is this extra processing destroys much of the health benefits that were in the product to begin with.  It is possible to make your own acv.  In fact, this has been done for centuries and is supposed to be very easy to do.  I'm seriously considering it.

Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar:
  1. Animals love it and it can be used as a general health tonic, to improve skin conditions, to keep flees, misquotes, and ticks away and to remove the smell of skunk.
  2. Can be used in cooking
  3. Improves digestion, heart health and glucose metabolism
  4. Can be used as a chemical-free house hold cleanser
  5. Mixed with honey it can be a healthy tonic to boost the immune system and destroy any viruses and bacterias found in the stomach or intestines.
  6. Weight loss
Apple Cider Vinegar can do lots of other things too.  (Including curing kids of whining.)  Don't believe me??  Click here to find out more.   =)  Worked for mine!
