The Princess Dress

What does every little girl do when you put her in a fancy dress?  She swirls and twirls and spins in circles!!  She does curtsies,  and she dances!

Every little girl dreams of having gorgeous dresses and hair that can be put up with flowers and tiaras.  In fact, I'd say that most little girls would rather be a princess for the sake of the wardrobe that goes along with it than the handsome prince!  Who cares about the prince when you can wear such fabulous dresses and twirl around in circles all night??

My girls love to wear long dresses.  They love to play outside and feel the wind blowing in their skirts and hair.   It's girly.  It's feminine.  It's the way God made them!  To be a lady is a wonderful thing!

As the King's Daughters we should each take a special pride in the way we look.  Do we dress appropriately?  Do we look the part of the King's Daughters everywhere we go?  Do we represent the King well?

Do you look feminine?
We try to wear a skirt as often as we can.   I tell my girls, if you can go there and/or do that {whatever it is we're doing} and wear a skirt, you probably should!  If you can't do it in a skirt...find something else that's modest, covers you properly, and looks feminine.   If the King made us His daughters, then we should look the part as much as possible!

Are your clothes neat?
Are you wearing clothes that fit you well?  Do they match?  Are they ironed or wrinkled?  Do your shoes match?  Tennis shoes don't match a nice dress.  Wrinkles are not becoming to a princess.  Sloppy is not cute.

Did you try to look your best?
Did you wash your face and brush your hair?  Your teeth?  Did you accessorize?  A scarf, necklace, earrings, just a bit of "extra" says you tried.  My husband can't stand big or fake jewelry but he does love it when I wear a little something and a bit of make up.  I try to only wear real jewelry, which also helps me keep it small.  I don't recommend big or flashy, but, I do recommend that you do your best to represent your Father, the King, in whatever you're wearing!  Be sure your makeup looks natural, and your clothes say you did your best.

Be in style.  Look your best.  Be neat.  Look classy.  Poised.  Dignified.  If you don't feel like these thing, pretend!! Before you know it, you will have everyone, including yourself, thinking you are those things!

Let's all do our best to look the part of the King's Daughters!!
