Fiscal and Physical Benefits of Lemon Water

I love little things that make big differences and lemon water is one of those!  You'd be shocked at the many things a glass of lemon water can help with, including the fact that it can shave hundreds of dollars off of your yearly "eat-out" budget.  Depending on the size of your family and how often you eat out.

Fiscal Benefits:
I just can't fathom spending $2.95 for a glass of tea or soda that is only worth about 5 cents to start with!  Spend that much on each member of your family...there's 6 of us...that's $18.00!!

Climbing down of my soapbox.......still climbing...it's a big one.....:)

Physical Benefits:

  • Seriously, need I say more....??
 The best way to make lemon water is simply to cut and squeeze a half to a whole lemon into your fresh, pure water.  To get the most benefit from the lemon, you should drink it withing 15 minutes of cutting the lemon.  If you don't, don't worry.  It's still one of the best things you could drink!!

{I even gave it to my babies in their sippy cups when they were old enough to drink juice.  They all love it now!}

If you weigh more than 155 pounds and are trying to lose weight, you can cut and squeeze a whole lemon into your water 2 - 3 times a day.  If you are not worried about weight loss, simply use a half a lemon once a day.

I like to do it at night just before bed.  This helps your body to rejuvenate it's self while you're sleeping.

Another favorite time is in the morning because it helps me to wake up and get my day going.

We also drink it when we eat out, or have been outside in the heat.  I guess we drink it more than I realized we do!  :)

    I get lemon water at restaurants because I heard when you put lemon in your water that it nullifies all the chemicles in city water and makes it pure. I used lemon water during my last pregnancy due to kidney stones. I could not medically do anything about them because I was preggo, but a midwife told me to down the lemon juice to dissolve the stones! Sure enough, it worked! Praise GOD!!! :-) I also had very bad morning sickness in early pregnancy, and the ONLY two things I could keep down was lemon water and oranges! Glad my body and baby were getting so many healthy benefits... even if I had no idea about them :-). Sometimes our bodies know best ;-).
