What do you think of when you hear the word "fruit"?? Apples and oranges? Grapes? That is only one definition of the word 'fruit'.
Did you know the word "fruit" also has another definition? According to the dictionary, "Fruit" means: anything produced or accruing; product, result, or effect; return or profit: the fruits of one's labors.
An apple tree produces apples, thus apples are the fruit of an apple tree.
The "fruit of your labor" could refer to a paycheck, or maybe just a clean house and a tasty meal. {Depending on your job and the type of labor you've been doing.}
The Bible even refers to children as the "fruit" of the womb. Our children are our fruit because we produced them.
The Holy Spirit also produces "fruit". If we spend time with Him, reading, memorizing, and meditating on the Word of God, these "fruit" will be produced in us.
What "fruit" does He want to produce in our lives?
Galatians 5:22-23 ~ But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
These things are the direct result, effect, or product of living a 'Spirit-filled life'. I want to produce spiritual fruit in my life. If you feel the same, then I invite you to join us as we study all 9 "Fruits" of the Spirit on Monday, October 3.
I will be joining up with 8 other lovely ladies as we study these "fruits". Each of us will discuss a different "fruit". All posts will be linked together so you can read them all. I hope you will plan now to join us on Monday, October 3rd!
