What's a Girl To Do???

Our house is very small.  And by "very small" I mean, tiny.  The bedrooms are just wide enough to put a set of bunk beds in each with about 4 inches to spare on each end.

Our youngest daughter has to share a room with her brother which isn't so bad, except that all the things in that room are "boy things".  There just isn't any room for her toys so most of them are still boxed up and stored away in the garage.  She put up with it all for a few months and then she decided she needed some girl things in her own space.

For Christmas this year she was given just that....

We moved the shoes to a different location and made the entire bottom of the closet a girl space complete with baby beds, blankets, and clothes!

And we even gave her "girl space" some wall decor!  Now, how's that for girl space!?!   ;)

  1. This is such a nice idea! I've been contemplating what to do with our little girl's ever-expanding amount of toys (she also shares a small room with one of her brothers). Never thought of clearing the closet out...although then I'd have to figure out where to put the dresser--ha!

  2. Could you use the bottom of a hall closet or something? I keep TP in the bottom of our hall closet, but it could easily be stored elsewhere... Just an idea. =) ~ Angela

  3. I totally understand limited space. I have a small house and four children myself one 11 year old girl and three boys 8,7 and 2 years old. The three boys share a room and my daughter has the smaller room to herself. There for a while my youngest was sharing the larger room with his sister. I had half of the room done up with her things and the other done up with his of course hers took up more than half at times :)
