Sweet And Sour Chicken

A great recipe from a good friend of mine...

Dice your chicken into bite size pieces and marinade in pineapple, orange or apple juice.

Saute your chicken.  {you can add a bread coating before sauteing if you like - I did!}  Add orange juice for a sauce.  {Or orange marmalade for sweeter sauce.} You could also add some crushed red pepper flakes for a sweet and spicy taste.

Serve with fried rice
{brown rice, soy sauce, scrambled eggs, peas, onions and carrots}
After cooking the chicken, I put steamed broccoli, red pepper, carrots in the mix..
Add pineapple chunks at the end.

Use flour to thicken the sauce if needed.

To make this recipe in the crock pot, simply cook chicken and sauce and add veggies and pineapple before serving.

Very simple and very yummy!

I served it along with sauteed cabbage.
{Notice my new cast iron skillet!  I love it!!}

  1. That looks really yummy. Orange chicken is one of my favorites, too. Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)
