Homemade Italian Dressing Mix

Here's a great recipe.  Make a large quantity and store in a glass mason jar.  It will keep for several months and it's so nice to have ready and on hand any time you need it!

This is the original recipe and great for whipping up a bit of dressing.  However, if you are like me and your family is a bit bigger than average, you may want to adjust it to you liking or needs.

Mix the following ingredients together in a Mason Jar ~

  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Onion Powder
  • 2 Tablespoon Dried Parsley
  • 2 Tablespoons Sea Salt
  • 2 Tablespoons Dried Oregano
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1 Teaspoon Dried Onion Flakes
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Celery Seed

To make dressing, whisk together 1/4 cup white vinegar, 2/3 cup olive oil, and 2 tablespoons of the dry mix.

Use dry mix : Add this mix to homemade chicken strips, new potatoes, pork chop breading, pasta sauce and pasta salad.

  1. I am SO glad you posted this recipe. Just last week I tried Italian dressing to see if I and my family liked it and we did. So I was going to go online and find one. At least with yours, I know it's already been tried and is good.
